High Desert Therapy Dogs is an all-volunteer, 501(c)3 therapy dog group serving the Albuquerque Metro Area.
All of our handlers and their dogs have passed our evaluation and observation requirements and are registered with High Desert Therapy Dogs. Our organization carries an insurance policy which covers our registered teams while visiting at an approved facility.
We routinely visit hospitals, rehabilitation facilities, and nursing and hospice care facilities to bring smiles to faces that need them.
We also support outreach events at educational institutions like the University of New Mexico and Albuquerque Public Schools. We provide our services for a variety of outreach events like health fairs, work group gatherings, and similar venues.

We serve community facilities and businesses in the greater Albuquerque area with friendly, well-trained therapy dogs of all breeds and sizes. We support our members with training, supportive instruction, visiting opportunities, credentials, liability insurance, friendship, and social events.
